A Google Sheet is a simple, shared place to keep a running log of what a workflow did, such as every lead it imported or every quote it sent. The Append Rows step adds a new row to the bottom of a sheet each time it runs. ## Nodes involved * [Google Sheets Append Rows](/platform/workflows/node-reference/integrations/google-sheets/google-sheets-append-rows) adds one or more rows to the end of a sheet. ## Before you start This step needs a connected Google account. Connect it in the Marketplace first; once connected, the step can write to your sheets. ## How to build it ### Pick the sheet Add a Google Sheets Append Rows step and choose the spreadsheet and the tab to write to. ### Map the columns Set each column's value, pointing it at the data from earlier steps you want to record, such as a contact's name, email, and the time the run happened. ### Log every item in a loop To log each item in a list, place the Append Rows step inside a [For Each](/platform/workflows/node-reference/logic-and-flow/for-each) loop so a new row is added for every item. ## Related #### [Google Sheets Append Rows](/platform/workflows/node-reference/integrations/google-sheets/google-sheets-append-rows) Every option for adding rows to a sheet. #### [For Each](/platform/workflows/node-reference/logic-and-flow/for-each) Log a row for every item in a list. > Documentation for Gail, the AI platform for financial services.
