# AI

> Nodes that hand a task to an AI agent to read, classify, summarize, decide, or work with documents.

AI nodes let a workflow think about its data instead of just moving it. Hand an
agent some text, a set of documents, or an open-ended task, and it returns
structured results the rest of the workflow can act on. Reach for these when a
step needs judgment, extraction, or work that would be hard to spell out with
fixed rules.
