# Files & Documents

> Nodes that create, read, split, and fill files as a workflow runs.

Files & Documents nodes let a workflow work with files the way people do: build
a spreadsheet or text file, read one that came in, break a large import into
manageable pieces, or fill out a PDF form. The files they produce can be emailed,
uploaded, or handed to the next step, so a run can turn raw data into a finished
document without anyone touching a keyboard.
