The Search Customers node looks up customers in AgencyZoom and hands back a page of matches. Every filter is optional, so you can search broadly or narrow down to exactly the customers you want. ## When to use it * You want to find a customer by name, email, or location before acting on them. * You need a page of customers that share a status or came from a source. * You want to search, then work with the first match in a later step. ## Inputs | Field | What it's for | Example | | ---------- | ----------------------------------------------- | ------------------- | | First name | Match customers by first name. | `Sarah` | | Last name | Match customers by last name. | `Chen` | | Email | Match customers by email. | `sarah@example.com` | | State | Match customers in a state. | `FL` | | Status | Limit to active or inactive customers, or all. | `active` | | Sort by | Which field to order the results on. | `lastname` | | Order | Ascending or descending order. | `asc` | | Page | Which page of results to return, starting at 0. | `0` | | Page size | How many results per page, from 1 to 100. | `20` | Every filter is optional. Any field can be a fixed value or an [expression](/platform/workflows/core-concepts/expressions/using-expressions-in-nodes) that reads from an earlier step. ## Outputs | Field | What you get back | | ----------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Customers | The matching customers on this page, each with name, email, phone, and address. | | Total count | How many customers matched in all. | | Page | The page and page size that were returned. | ## Example A workflow needs Sarah Chen's record before logging a call. It uses Search Customers with her last name and state to find her, then feeds the first match's id into a [Get Customer](/platform/workflows/node-reference/integrations/agencyzoom/agency-zoom-get-customer) step to pull her full record, including her policies. ![The AgencyZoom Search Customers node configuration panel, showing the filters and paging.](/_fern-img/c19e93ab71e7018d41dcf88829163ee4b9c75fab1ca5e0933e3ce3f417ca70cd.webp) > **Note** > > Ask for only the page size you need. Large pages bloat the run's history, so keep > the default of 20 unless you truly need more, and page through results rather > than pulling everything at once. ## Related nodes #### [Get Customer](/platform/workflows/node-reference/integrations/agencyzoom/agency-zoom-get-customer) Pull the full record for a matched customer. #### [Add Customer Note](/platform/workflows/node-reference/integrations/agencyzoom/agency-zoom-add-customer-note) Add a note to a matched customer. #### [For Each](/platform/workflows/node-reference/logic-and-flow/for-each) Loop over the matches and act on each customer. #### [Add Contact](/platform/workflows/node-reference/gail/add-contact) Bring a matched customer into Gail as a contact. > Documentation for Gail, the AI platform for financial services.
