The Search Tasks node looks up tasks in AgencyZoom and hands back a page of matches. Every filter is optional, so you can search broadly or narrow down to exactly the tasks you want. ## When to use it * You want to find open tasks before working through them. * You need a page of tasks of a certain kind, for a certain assignee, or due soon. * You want to search, then complete or update the first match in a later step. ## Inputs | Field | What it's for | Example | | ---------- | ---------------------------------------------------------- | --------- | | Status | Limit to open or done tasks. | `open` | | Type | Limit to a category: sales or onboarding. | `sales` | | Assignee | Match tasks assigned to a user. | A user id | | Due window | A predefined window such as today, past due, or next week. | `today` | | Sort by | Which field to order the results on. | `id` | | Order | Ascending or descending order. | `asc` | | Page | Which page of results to return, starting at 0. | `0` | | Page size | How many results per page, from 1 to 200. | `20` | Every filter is optional. Any field can be a fixed value or an [expression](/platform/workflows/core-concepts/expressions/using-expressions-in-nodes) that reads from an earlier step. ## Outputs | Field | What you get back | | ----------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | | Tasks | The matching tasks on this page, each with title, status, due date, and who it belongs to. | | Total count | How many tasks matched in all. | | Page | The page and page size that were returned. | ## Example A workflow tidies up finished work each evening for Chen Insurance Group. It uses Search Tasks to find open onboarding tasks that are already past due, then loops over them with a [For Each](/platform/workflows/node-reference/logic-and-flow/for-each) step to complete the ones whose underlying work is done. ![The AgencyZoom Search Tasks node configuration panel, showing the filters and paging.](/_fern-img/421fe8e33d5739330fcc544cc25b5052aed9bda434f0e4eab9e550eec74962cd.webp) > **Note** > > Ask for only the page size you need. Large pages bloat the run's history, so keep > the default of 20 unless you truly need more, and page through results rather > than pulling everything at once. ## Related nodes #### [Complete Task](/platform/workflows/node-reference/integrations/agencyzoom/agency-zoom-complete-task) Mark a matched task done. #### [Update Task](/platform/workflows/node-reference/integrations/agencyzoom/agency-zoom-update-task) Change fields on a matched task. #### [For Each](/platform/workflows/node-reference/logic-and-flow/for-each) Loop over the matches and act on each task. #### [Create Task](/platform/workflows/node-reference/integrations/agencyzoom/agency-zoom-create-task) Create a new task instead of finding one. > Documentation for Gail, the AI platform for financial services.
