# Web & HTTP

> Nodes that reach out to the web to call a service, pull data from a page, or search for information.

Web & HTTP nodes connect a workflow to the world outside Gail. Use them to call
another system's API, look something up on the public web, or pull specific
details off a page that has no API of its own. They are how a workflow gathers
outside information mid-run, so later steps can act on it.
